A shaft mounted gearbox is characterised by high power density, high permissible radial forces and as a helical gearbox with the option of hollow shaft. Typical applications where shaft mounted gearboxes are used are applications within the transport and process technology. The shaft mounted gearboxes are in cast iron or aluminum.
Hydro-Mec shaft mounted gearboxes are modular and compact. The shaft mounted gearbox from Hydro-Mec has a single-piece aluminium housing that combines light weight with high tensile strength. The housing is precision machined for alignment of bearings and gearing, and is vacuum impregnated for protection and sealing, and therefore no extra sealing is required. In the bottom of the housing is a removable inspection cover, that allows for inspection of the gearing. The gears are hardened and ground, the center distance is large on slow gears for torque transmission, and the flange is fully modular to IEC and compact integrated motors.
Ratios in the FA-series from 2.91:1 to 589:1 and a max output torque on 510 Nm.
Ratios in the FC and FS-series from 2.65:1 to 680.03:1 and a max output torque on 2100 Nm.
Optionally the housing can be supplied in cast iron, and the flange can be supplied as a NEMA C flange.
